1. What is the most important issue facing the auditor’s office?

The Auditor’s Office is currently run efficiently and effectively. It is the administrative and financial hub of local government, which is why it is important to keep a qualified person serving as County Auditor. I want to continue to lead the Auditor’s Office into the future--providing professional, efficient, and customer friendly service to the citizens of Lawrence County.

2. What, in your opinion, is the state of the county’s budget?

The County budget is in much better shape than in years past; however, because the county revenues and state mandated expenditures are constantly changing, it is important to keep aware of changes to county revenues as a result of economics and decisions from Columbus. We publish the budget information every month on the auditor’s website at www.lawrencecountyauditor.org.
