City of Aiken names new Engineering and Utilities director

May 9, 2019

Mike Przybylowicz has been appointed as the city of Aiken’s Engineering and Utilities director.

City Manager Stuart Bedenbaugh announced the news Thursday afternoon.

Przybylowicz had been the interim director prior. His move to full-time director is effective immediately.

“I appreciate the work Mike does for our city. He has my full trust and that of the City Council,” Bedenbaugh said in prepared remarks.

Przybylowicz, a University of Maryland graduate, is a certified stormwater inspector and a certified stormwater plan reviewer, according to a related press release.

“His experience working with contractors, developers, and staff will be essential as he assumes his role as director of Engineering and Utilities,” Bedenbaugh said. “He also has the city’s best interests as an efficient steward of our resources.”

Przybylowicz has been with the city for about three years.
