North Carolina woman arrested for torching own mobile home
JACKSONVILLE, N.C. (AP) — Authorities in North Carolina say a woman with a previous conviction for arson has been accused of setting her own mobile home on fire.
The Onslow County Sheriff’s Office said in a news release Friday 30-year-old Chastity Keeter is charged with second-degree arson.
The fire reported at the home Tuesday was the second fire at the home in a week. According to the sheriff’s office, a fire was reported at the home on July 3 after someone broke in and set a couch on fire.
Deputies say Keeter has been involved with six suspicious fires in the past year and was convicted of second-degree arson back in Rockingham County in 2004.
Keeter is free on a $10,000 bond. It’s not known if she has an attorney.
