Waupun Police Beat 10-1 to 10-4, 2018

Hit-and-run — Monday at 11:17 a.m., police responded to a parking lot in the 1000 block of East Main Street for a hit-and-run. Police located the operator of the offending vehicle at a residence in the 700 block of East Jefferson Street. A 29-year-old Waupun woman was cited for hit-and-run of an unattended vehicle.

Traffic stop — Tuesday at 6:03 p.m., police conducted a traffic stop on East Jefferson Street at Carrington Street. A 37-year-old Fairwater man was cited for operating without a valid driver’s license and operating without insurance.

Welfare check — Tuesday at 9:11 p.m., police responded to a residence in the 400 block of East Brown Street for a report of a suicidal subject. Police placed a 45-year-old Fond du Lac man into protective custody. The man was transported to a mental health facility.

Theft — Wednesday at 3:34 p.m., police responded to a residence in the 500 block of East Brown Street for a theft of money complaint. The complainant believes her runaway juvenile came to the residence and stole the money.

Property damage — Thursday at 2:05 p.m., police responded to the first hundred block of North Madison Street for a vehicle that had four windows damaged by an unknown subject.

Ordinance — Wednesday at 5:48 p.m., police responded to the first hundred block of East Franklin Street for an illegal dumping of garbage complaint. The complainant advised that someone was dumping trash in his/her dumpster and has suspect information.

Traffic stop — Wednesday at 8:43 p.m., police conducted a traffic stop in the 200 block of Gateway Drive. A 52-year-old Fox Lake man was cited for operating after suspension and failure to provide proof of insurance.
