HANA, Hawaii (AP) _ Search crews on Monday located the wreckage of a small plane that crashed in a remote mountain area, killing all four people aboard, including two young girls, authorities said.

The plane was reported missing Saturday night after the occupants did not show up at a party. After a two-day search, crews found the wreckage of the single-engine plane in heavy brush in Nahiku, said Maui Police spokesman Lt. Jon Morioka.

Pilot Steve Betsill of Maui had taken his cousin, Jerry Betsill, his 10-year-old daughter, Emma, and niece, Merideth Fennimore, 11, for a tour of the island, relatives said.

A cause was not determined; the Federal Aviation Administration and National Transportation Safety Board planned to investigate.
