Olyphant native and Broadway veteran Judy McLane’s next stop is Cannes.

The longtime star of Broadway’s “Mamma Mia!” will attend the renowned film festival on the French Riviera later this month in support of her short film, “Hiding in Daylight,” Broadway World reported Friday. The 15-minute film also stars Jim Newman, Julee Cerda and Gary Hilborn and “depicts the inequalities of the LGBTQ community in America after a gay purge,” the website noted.

The film is one of 29 finalists picked from hundreds of applicants to screen at the Cannes Film Festival’s American Pavilion Emerging Filmmaker Showcase on Sunday, May 19.

“I am elated and honored to represent this relevant and stirring film that is bringing consciousness to an undeniable dilemma in the LGBTQ community,” McLane said, according to Broadway World.
