Man Executed For Murdering Seven Women Then Dismembering Them
BEIJING (AP) _ A man who murdered seven women and dismembered their bodies has been executed in the northern city of Harbin, according to an official report.
Han Liuzai hid the last victim’s body under the bed he shared with his wife, who was apparently unaware of the crimes, Xinmin Wanbao reported in its Thursday editions.
Han was executed by the Harbin Intermediate Court on June 9, the report said. Executions in China are by a bullet to the back of the head.
Han’s murder spree spanned an 18-month period between 1990 and 1992. Authorities were unable to identify three of the bodies because the parts were so widely scattered they couldn’t find them all, Xinmin Wanbao said.
Han lured prostitutes to his home, where he strangled them in bed, robbed them then dismembered them, the report said. It did not say what he did with the body parts.
Han hid his seventh victim under his bed, the report said, but did not specify how long he kept the body there.
