Still not competent
A man accused of the fatal stabbing of a Norfolk man in August of 2017 remains at the Lincoln Regional Center for treatment.
Rodolfo Castaneda-Morejon, 48, was scheduled to appear for a status hearing in Madison County District Court on Friday afternoon.
However, he was not present at his hearing, and one of his attorneys, Madison County Public Defender Matthew Headley, requested a continuance so his client could continue to receive treatment.
Castaneda-Morejon was previously found incompetent to stand trial in May and transferred from the Madison County Jail to the Lincoln Regional Center.
Judge Mark Johnson sustained the motion to continue and set a further status hearing for Jan. 4, 2019, at 2 p.m.
