Darlington Police investigate Saturday afternoon stabbing

DARLINGTON, S.C. -- Three people have been arrested and charged in connection with a stabbing early Saturday afternoon in Darlington.

Darlington Police officers responded to a home on Joe Louis Boulevard at 12:55 p.m. to a report of disorderly subjects and, upon arrival, found a woman with a stab wound to her hand, according to a release issued by the agency.

“Toshia Kelley Brown and Shronda Louise Bonaparte were arrested for disorderly conduct. Sharina Dersteria Denise Pugh was arrested for assault and battery second degree,” Capt. Kimberly Nelson wrote in the release.

The victim was transported to a Darlington area hospital for treatment of her injuries and then released.

The incident remains under investigation.
