Bernie Sanders pulls in $6 million over first day of 2020 campaign

February 20, 2019

Sen. Bernard Sanders’ campaign has raised $6 million since he announced he was running for the Democratic presidential nomination.

The Sanders’ camp said that it had received donations from more than 223,000 individuals over the first 24 hours of his campaign.

The Vermont independent kicked off his bid Tuesday, vowing to finish the job that he started in 2016 when he ended up second behind Hillary Clinton and thrust issues including Medicare for All into the national debate.
