IOWA HOUSE-BALLOT DISPUTE _ A northeast Iowa county election official says U.S. Postal Service officials have scanned postal bar codes on 33 ballots that have not been counted in an Iowa House race and found 29 were mailed in time to be counted.

REGENTS TUITION _ Students from six surrounding states will soon pay the same tuition rate as South Dakota residents at the state’s public universities.

WAUKEE DISTRICT AUDIT _ A special state audit report says Waukee Community School District administrators improperly used state credit cards and spent nearly $129,000 on items and services that “were not in the taxpayers’ best interest.”

COLLEGE DEAN-ARRESTED _ A former Iowa community college dean has been arrested after an audit found she spent thousands of dollars in public funds for her wedding, personal travel and other purchases.

LONGTIME FUGITIVE _ Prosecutors have dropped an assault charge filed against an Iowa man more than 20 years ago.

JURY SUMMONS _ Iowa has changed the way it’s notifying potential jurors.

STOLEN VEHICLE-CRASH _ Des Moines authorities say a second teenager has died after the stolen car he was driving crashed into a delivery van.
