FORT BELVOIR, Va. (AP) _ One of the eight jurors in the sexual misconduct court-martial of the Army's former top enlisted man apparently threatened to quit, the military judge in the case said in court today.

``Col. (Donald) Whitfield has advised me one of the court members was upset over how the deliberation was going and there was some discussion of whether the member wanted to be part of the deliberative process,'' the judge, Col. Ferdinand Clervi, said before the jury resumed work at 9:30 a.m.

Clervi said he did not know who the disaffected juror is, but in earlier discussions out of the presence of the jury, Clervi used the pronoun ``he.'' There are six men and two women on the jury.
