Woman killed, infant among injured in Queens fire
NEW YORK (AP) — Fire officials say one woman has died and two others, including a 5-month-old baby, were injured in a blaze that spread to three homes in New York City.
The New York City Fire Department says the fire broke out at a home in Queens around 1:45 p.m. Wednesday.
FDNY Assistant Deputy Chief Michael Gala says firefighters pulled a woman from a second-floor bathroom, and she was in cardiac arrest.
The woman was rushed to Jamaica Hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
Both the baby and another person have been hospitalized and are expected to recover.
More than 100 firefighters responded to the blaze.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
