NEW CASTLE, Del. (AP) _ A crew of prisoners picking up trash Friday discovered the body of a missing woman stuffed in a bloody suitcase. Hours later her boyfriend was charged with murder, police said.

Siobhan Marie Canty, a 33-year-old payroll processor, had been missing for 10 days. She had been shot several times, New Castle County police said.

Her boyfriend, William B. Henry, was charged with first-degree murder and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, police said. He was already being held on a charge of violating a no-contact order to stay away from Ms. Canty.

Henry was arrested Thursday when he sought treatment at Wilmington Hospital for a 2-day-old gunshot wound in his foot.

Several guns were recovered from Ms. Canty's home, police spokesman Trinidad Navarro said.

The suitcase, found by the side of state Route 9 about 8:30 a.m., matches other luggage found at Ms. Canty's bloodstained home north of Wilmington. Blood was found in nearly every room of the house.

Navarro said Ms. Canty's body was found intact. Medical examiners have not determined the precise cause of death, he said.
