Strange: former Komet Ross traded again
Garret Ross, the player the Komets traded to make room for Shawn Szydlowski, has now moved to yet another team.
He was dealt from South Carolina to Atlanta for Shane Eiserman. Ross had two assists in eight games for the Komets and didn’t play for South Carolina. Eiserman had one goal and three points in four games for Atlanta this season.
This doesn’t make a whole ton of sense to me, why he wouldn’t report to South Carolina but would to Atlanta - unless he’s maybe got some sort of American Hockey League deal in the works. Atlanta is aligned with two NHL teams, Nashville and Boston, which could maybe put him toward the AHL’s Nashville or Providence teams, but that’s just a pure guess based on Ross being a career AHL guy.
Regardless, Ross is a good fit for the Gladiators in the ECHL.
The Komets are 2-1-0 since they got Szydlowski back.
