2 toddlers fall into ponds near Florida homes, die

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (AP) — Officials say two Florida toddlers have fallen into ponds near their homes and died.

The Florida Department of Children and Families say 2-year-old Brayden Deen was pulled from a pond near his Jacksonville home on Wednesday. He died two days later.

The department says 1-year-old Zane Raut drowned Thursday in Putnam County pond.

The Florida Times-Union reports both cases remain under investigation.
