Dementia educator to speak in Aiken in January
Those interested in learning about dementia and being a caregiver will have the opportunity Thursday.
Teepa Snow, an internationally known dementia educator and speaker, will be in Aiken on Jan. 3 at St. John’s United Methodist Church, according to a press release.
Topics will include “Working with Someone with Lewy Body Dementia,” “Humor and Caregiving,” and more, the release says.
Tickets are $15 and can be purchased at four locations: St. Johns United Methodist Church at 104 Newberry St. N.W.; Daybreak Adult Care Services at 1028B Hayne Ave. S.W.; Southside Gallery of Aiken at 2258 Whiskey Road; and Cyndi’s Sweet Shoppe at 146 Laurens St. S.W.
The day all start with sign-in at 8 a.m. and end around 4:30 p.m. The event is open to the public and breakfast and a snack, sponsored by George Funeral Home and Hearing Associates of S.C. will be provided.
