Pedri Proposes $1.9M Capital Plan For County
WILKES-BARRE — Luzerne County Council will get its first look at county Manager David Pedri’s proposed 2020-22 capital plan on Tuesday.
Pedri proposes close to $2 million in capital projects, including $500,000 for upgrades to the county-owned parking garage on Water Street in Wilkes-Barre.
The proposed capital plan must be presented by June 1 each year, as stipulated in the county charter, council Chairman Tim McGinley said Sunday.
The agenda for council’s Tuesday voting session includes a motion to introduce an ordinance to adopt the capital plan.
However, council members will likely examine each proposed project carefully before voting on the plan prior to the charter-mandated Sept. 1 deadline, McGinley said.
