EMMY NOMINATIONS SET FOR TODAY
LOS ANGELES (AP) — "Game of Thrones," ''This Is Us," ''Atlanta" and "Mom" are among the shows favored to make it on the list of Emmy-nominated TV programs when the list is read off later this morning (at 11:25 a.m. EDT). As is usually the case, a number of popular shows are expected to get nods — including, "Game of Thrones," which already holds the series record for most awards in a year. It set the mark of 12 in 2015 — and matched that total the following year. The drama is expected to get competition from "Stranger Things." On the comedy side of the ledger, "Veep's" absence makes room for other funny shows to shine. Among those expected to do just that is "Atlanta," which last year got directing and acting trophies for its creator and star, Donald Glover.

STORMY DANIELS ARRESTED
UNDATED (AP) — Stormy Daniels has been arrested. Her lawyer says the porn star has been arrested at an Ohio strip club — and is accused of letting patrons touch her. It's a violation of state law in Ohio to do that, unless you're family. Michael Avenatti tells The Associated Press Daniels was taken into custody during the show in Columbus. The attorney says during the show, some patrons touched Daniels in what he calls a "non-sexual way." Avenatti calls the arrest a "complete set up."
GEORGE CLOONEY - OTHER DRIVER
ROME (AP) — The driver of a station wagon hit by George Clooney's scooter in Italy says he was waiting to turn when a scooter whizzed by, then the actor's scooter slammed into him. The Italian news agency quotes Antonello Viglino as saying he was "stationary on the roadway," ready to turn left when two motorcycles came from the other direction on Tuesday morning. He says while the first scooter "avoided collision," the second slammed into him. That second scooter was driven by Clooney, who was treated at a hospital and released.
DWAYNE JOHNSON - "SKYSCRAPER"
NEW YORK (AP) — Dwayne Johnson hopes to strike a blow for the amputee community by playing a former FBI agent with a prosthetic leg in the new action thriller "Skyscraper." The movie has made its premiere in New York — and Johnson says he was "honored" to play an amputee — and hopes he "did right by" those who have lost limbs. He says he spent a lot of time with amputees, taking part in "very extensive" research. One of those he consulted joined Johnson at the premiere: Jeff Glasbrenner, a Paralympian who became the first American amputee to successfully climb Mount Everest in 2016. Johnson calls him "an amazing man."
CHAD BOSEMAN DOES POLICE DRAMA
NEW YORK (AP) — Chadwick Boseman is ready for his next big role. He will trade the trappings of Wakanda for a police drama set in New York City. He will play a disgraced NYPD detective who gets involved in a citywide manhunt for a police killer. The role in "17 Bridges" will be the first non-Marvel movie in a bit. Boseman has been in "Black Panther," ''Avengers: Infinity War" and has already finished the follow-up to that movie.
SHARON TATE ESTATE SALE
LOS ANGELES (AP) — Mini-dresses and a wedding dress are among the items from estate of actress Sharon Tate going up for auction. Tate was the actress who starred in the 1967 film "Valley of the Dolls" and was a major figure in the swinging 1960s social scene in Hollywood. She was murdered in Los Angeles by the notorious Charles Manson cult in 1969. The sale of items from the Tate estate will be done by Julien's Auctions — which says the sell-off will begin Nov. 17.
REALITY TV SHOW STAR ARRESTED
ATLANTA (AP) — One of the stars of "Love and Hip Hop: Atlanta" has had another run-in with the po-po. Police in Atlanta say 34-year-old Atasha Jefferson was arrested for refusing orders from officers. They also say she struck a valet on the head. Jefferson goes by Tommie Lee on the reality show. The valet didn't press charges, but the reality star is charged with being "disorderly under the influence" and was booked at Atlanta City Detention Center. She has since been freed on bond.
FORMER "BAD GIRLS CLUB" STAR BUSTED
NEW YORK (AP) — A former cast member of the reality TV series "Bad Girls Club" has been busted. Shannade Clermont was arrested yesterday in New York on charges that she stole debit card information from a man who died soon after a "prostitution date" with her. Clermont, who is 24, was freed on $100,000 bail. She's charged with wire fraud, access device fraud and aggravated identity theft. Prosecutors say the man she visited in January, 2017 was found dead of a drug overdose the next morning in his apartment. Authorities said Clermont used stolen debit card information to try to obtain more than $20,000. They said she used the money to pay her rent and phone bills, buy plane tickets and make online purchases of clothing and other merchandise.
SARAH PALIN - SPOOFED
LOS ANGELES (AP) — Most people say she got trolled — and in person, no less. But former GOP vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin says she was "duped" by British comedian Sacha Baron Cohen. In a Facebook post Tuesday, Palin says she and one of her daughters traveled cross-country for what she thought was a legitimate interview. But she says comedian Baron Cohen did the interview for a show he has on Showtime — and was made up to look like a disabled U.S. veteran. She says she was hit with an interview full of "disrespect and sarcasm" before walking out. Palin has called on the comedian and his network to donate show proceeds to a veteran's charity.
