The Capitals were presented their rings, designed by the custom ring company Jostens, in a private ceremony.
“These rings will now forever be a reminder for the players, coaches, and fans: we did it,” Capitals owner Ted Leosis said. “We are thrilled today to be able to unveil this beautiful ring, which will always be a proud symbol of the Capitals’ incredible 2018 Stanley Cup run and the unbreakable bond they created among all Caps fans who shared in the joy of that moment together.”
Each ring features 230 round diamonds, 22 princess cut diamonds and 14-karat white and yellow gold. “Washington DC” is spelled out on each ring, along with players’ names and jersey numbers.
The Capitals open the 2018-19 season Wednesday night against the Boston Bruins and hang the Stanley Cup banner in Capital One Arena before the game.
