Morrisville councilman resigns
A member of the Morrisville Town Council has resigned, saying he was bullied.
Jerry Windle offered his resignation, effective immediately, to the council during its meeting Monday.
He said other council members bullied him about issues in his personal life.
“I cannot in good conscience serve on a council that has knowingly allowed me to be bullied and harassed,” he said.
Windle represented District 2 in the town.
He was elected to the four-year term in November 2017.
In a statement, a Town of Morrisville spokeswoman said the council would soon meet to discuss the replacement process.
