Stanford 85, No. 11 Arizona 79

TUCSON, Ariz. (AP) _ Dion Cross burned No. 11 Arizona with a 9-for-9 shooting night, including seven 3-pointers, sending Stanford to an 85-79 upset of No. 11 Arizona that completed the Cardinal’s first-ever sweep of the season series.

Cross, a senior, had 15 points at halftime and finished with 27, the second-best game of his career. His best came on Jan. 6, when he scored 30 _ also with seven 3-pointers _ in an 80-71 victory over Arizona at Palo Alto, Calif.

David Harbour scored 15 of his 19 points in the second half for Stanford (18-8 overall, 11-6 Pac-10), Brevin Knight scored 14, and Darren Allaway had 12.

Ben Davis had 25 points and 10 rebounds for Arizona (23-6, 12-5), Corey Williams had 19 points and seven rebounds, and Miles Simon scored 16 points. Stanford’s sweep was its first over Arizona since the Wildcats joined the conference in 1978.
