4-H Closet Event scheduled for Thursday, Dec. 6
ELEANOR — Looking to make room? Do you have an overflowing attic or garage? Perhaps, neighbors and yourself are looking to upgrade a wardrobe for the winter months.
The 4-H Closet Event is ready to help by taking used items and making them into another person’s treasure, or at least ensuring items find homes where they can be put to use.
This one-day-only event takes place Thursday, Dec. 6, at the Eleanor Fire Station, 600 Roosevelt Boulevard, from 6:30 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. Items available for swapping or giving away include clothing, shoes, belts, toys, movies, books, holiday objects and livestock show items. This free event is open to the public, all visitors are free to take any donated items from the 4-H Closet Event.
As stated in a press release from the 4-H, “You will feel good about your items going to someone who can use them and you might find new-to-you items that you won’t have to buy.”
Participants do not have to bring items in order to participate in picking items from the closet.
