EP Energy: 3Q Earnings Snapshot
HOUSTON (AP) _ EP Energy Corp. (EPE) on Wednesday reported a loss of $44 million in its third quarter.
The Houston-based company said it had a loss of 18 cents per share. Losses, adjusted for non-recurring costs, came to 4 cents per share.
The results missed Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of six analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for a loss of 2 cents per share.
The independent oil and gas company posted revenue of $294 million in the period. Its adjusted revenue was $338 million, beating Street forecasts. Five analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $322.2 million.
In the final minutes of trading on Wednesday, the company’s shares hit $1.87. A year ago, they were trading at $2.83.
