Man accused of twice groping employee of Tower City Victoria’s Secret

CLEVELAND, Ohio — A 42-year-old man is accused of twice groping an employee of the Victoria’s Secret store at Tower City, including once after she told him to stop, according to police.

The incident happened on Aug. 22 at the Tower City store. The man was arrested Tuesday after he returned to the store after being banned from Tower City, police reports say. Formal charges have not been filed.

The 23-year-old woman told police that the man came into the store about 2 p.m. on Aug. 22 and stole several items.

While inside the store, he grabbed the woman’s buttocks, police reports say. The woman told the man not to touch her, he stole items and left, according to police reports.

About a half-hour later near the escalators that lead to the RTA rapid station, the man walked up behind her, grabbed her buttocks again and laughed.

The woman said she didn’t know the man and didn’t know his identity until he returned to the store on Tuesday.

The woman contacted police. An off-duty Cleveland police officer working secondary employment at Tower City went to the store and arrested the man, police reports say.

The woman identified the man as the person who groped her in August.
