One dead after single-vehicle New Haven crash
New Haven police were investigating a single-vehicle fatal crash over Labor Day weekend, according to a news release Monday.
City police, along with fire department and EMS personnel, were dispatched to North River Road, just west of Landin Road at about 3:30 p.m. Sunday.
When police arrived, they located a vehicle that had gone off the south side of the roadway and come to rest on its side, next to the riverbank, the release said.
Fire and EMS personnel arrived and pronounced the driver, the sole occupant, deceased.
North River Road and the River Greenway were closed while police investigated.
The identity of the driver is expected to be released later by the Allen County Coroner’s Office.
