_ VEGAS-FALL DEATH: Las Vegas police say a 23-year-old man was fatally injured when he fell down approximately 50 feet of stairs after apparently running around the loading area of an observation wheel on the Strip.

_ UNLV PRESIDENT SEARCH: The Board of Regents says the acting president of the University of Nevada Las Vegas can apply for the job permanently after waiving a rule that would have prevented him from getting the job.

LAS VEGAS _ An award-winning archer from Iowa who was born with no arms says he balances competition with a responsibility to inspire others. Matt Stutzman finished 40th among the 270 able-bodied archers in the top flight of the recent Vegas Shoot _ the Super Bowl of archery. Stutzman tells the Las Vegas Review his aim isn’t to just shoot a bow and arrow with his feet. He says it’s to make people’s lives better. By Ron Kantowski, Las Vegas Review-Journal.
