BLACK HILLS-GRIEF TRAINING

SPEARFISH, S.D. _ A South Dakota health care system is expanding its grief counseling program in the Black Hills region. The Black Hills Pioneer reports that Regional Health has offered grief counseling in Spearfish and Belle Fourche, but is now adding services to Lead, Deadwood and Sturgis. Regional Health is also offering an eight-week course for those dealing with a particularly difficult loss. SENT: 275 words.

EXCHANGE-MYTHBUSTERS JR HOST

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. _ A Sioux Falls teenager is using her inventing and innovating skills to host a spin-off series of Mythbusters with original host Adam Savage and five other resident “geniuses.” Allie Weber, 13, spent her summer in San Rafael, California filming for the premier of Mythbusters Jr. The eighth-grader is an established inventor who’s won awards and has been recognized for her designs such as a spine-saving binder strap and a frostbite sensor gloves. YANKTON, S.D. _ In her quest for the perfect homemade loaf of bread, a local woman has published a book sharing her personal method for getting perfect results from your bread machine. “Secrets to Baking the Best Bread Ever,” by freelance writer Loretta Sorensen, came out in December and is available from Amazon and Barnes & Noble.
