Teen Claims Sex Harassment in Boston Chicken Lawsuit
AURORA, Colo. (AP) _ A 16-year-old Aurora girl is suing Boston Chicken Inc. and an assistant restaurant manager, claiming she was sexually harassed while working for the company.
The girl, who was 15 at the time of the alleged incidents, said she was subjected to lewd jokes and language and grabbing and pawing by the assistant manager at a Boston Chicken restaurant in Aurora.
The lawsuit filed Tuesday in federal court by the girl and her mother names the company and Joe Sandro, identified as an assistant manager at a Boston Chicken restaurant in Aurora.
Sandro no longer works for the company, according to a person who answered the phone at the Aurora restaurant. The girl, who has not been identified due to her age, also no longer works there.
Boston Chicken spokesman Gary Gerdemann said the Golden-based company has ``a very clear and strict policy forbidding sexual harassment.″
He said the company was notified about the complaint last June and began investigating immediately.
Gerdemann said the girl never complained about the alleged harassment while she was working for Boston Chicken.
