MILFORD — For the third time in about six months, a city woman was caught trying to shoplift from a store in the Milford mall, according to police.

Kelly Licitra, 23, of Waverly Avenue in Milford, was charged Tuesday with three counts of sixth-degree larceny, police said Wednesday.

Officers were sent to Boscov’s in the Connecticut Post Mall, at 1201 Boston Post Road, for a report of a shoplifter. An investigation led to the arrest of Licitra, who police said is accused of taking an item valued at $380 from the store without paying.

“Further investigation showed Licitra to have two active warrants for her arrest,” police said.

For those warrants, she was accused of taking an estimated $340 worth of merchandise, on two separate occasions, from the Target at the Milford mall in Aug. 2018.

Police said Licitra was released on a promise to appear and is expected in court on Feb. 19.
