Spectator arrested at charity basketball game in Maine
ORONO, Maine (AP) — Maine police say a charity basketball game at Orono Middle School was disrupted by a spectator who was hauled away by law enforcement officers.
Police tell WABI-TV that 52-year-old James Parsons Jr., of Albion, refused to leave after a disagreement with game officials led to his ejection on Sunday.
WABI reports that there were minor injuries and fans restrained Parsons until police arrived.
Parsons was charged with assault, criminal mischief and disorderly conduct.
He was released from the Penobscot County Jail after making bail. It was unclear if he had an attorney, and a phone number for him could not be located.
