Eastern Florence County home burns for second time in three days
FLORENCE, S.C. -- An Eastern Florence County home was destroyed early Thursday morning when it burned for the second time in three days.
Windy Hill firefighters responded about 5 a.m. to the fire and arrived to find the home fully involved, said Fire Chief John DeLung.
A fire Tuesday around noon damaged the home’s front porch before a neighbor used a garden hose to “knock it down” before firefighters arrived, DeLung said Tuesday.
Nobody was home either time, DeLung said.
No injuries were reported as a result of the fire.
Howe Springs firefighters responded in mutual aid and medics with Florence County EMS responded to stand by for the firefighters.
The Florence County Sheriff’s Office is investigating both fires, DeLung said.
