Norfolk Catholic football readies for Class ‘C-2’ semifinal with Sutton
The Lincoln Journal Star top ranked and Omaha World Herald second ranked in Class ‘C-2’ Norfolk Catholic football team is 10-1 on the year after routing St. Paul last Friday at home in the quarterfinals of the playoffs 56-12.
It was the second time this season the Knights beat the Wildcats. They won the earlier matchup on September 7th 49-20. Last Friday, Dylan Kautz ran for 220 yards off 17 carries and five touchdowns while teammate Evan Smith also had two TD runs. Norfolk Catholic, who has beaten David City Aquinas, St. Paul twice, BRLD, Crofton, Hartington Cedar Catholic, Battle Creek, Stanton, Ponca, and Archbishop Bergan while falling to Pierce is outscoring their opponents on average through eleven games 47.3-19. They return to action on Friday night when they visit Omaha World Herald third ranked 10-1 Sutton at 7:00 in a semifinal game.
