Ronald Steiner, 65, West Baraboo

Ronald W. “Ron” Steiner, 65, of West Baraboo, passed away Sunday, May 19, 2019, at the University of Wisconsin Hospital in Madison, with his family and friends by his side.

Ron was born March 25, 1954, in Reedsburg, the son of Robert and Elaine (Blank) Steiner. On Aug. 21, 1982, he married Eugenia Denman in West Baraboo.

Ron was employed at American Axle Manufacturing Company in Reedsburg for more than 41 years. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing and watching sports, especially the Badgers and Packers. He always looked forward to his yearly fishing trips to Canada with family and friends. He was a loving family man and dear friend to many.

Survivors include his wife of 36 years, Eugenia; three daughters, Trena (Scott) Frantz of Reedsburg, Treva Ewing of West Baraboo, Trisha (Randy) Wegner of Baraboo; nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; three brothers, Robert Steiner, Duane (Patti) Steiner of Baraboo, Mark (Kelli) Steiner of Reedsburg; two sisters, Connie Braun of Milwaukee, Laurie (Scott) Holtz of California; and other nieces, nephews; other relatives and friends.

In addition to his parents, Ron was preceded in death by a son, Tracy Farnsworth.

Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 29, 2019, at Baldwin Funeral Services, Baraboo, with Pastor Michael Dotson officiating. Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Tuesday, May 28, 2019, at the funeral home and from 10 a.m. until time of service Wednesday. Inurnment will take place in Walnut Hill Cemetery.
