January 3, 2019

Donald St. Cyr, 75, of Briggsville, walked on Tuesday, Jan. 1, 2019, at his residence.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 4, at Conway-Picha Funeral Home in Lyndon Station, with the Rev. Alan Boeck officiating. Burial will be at Silver Lake Cemetery in Portage. Donald was born Oct. 12, 1943, in Shawano, the son of Abner and Mary (White) St. Cyr. He grew up in Portage and graduated from high school there. He was a very well liked person with a big beautiful smile, an avid athlete, and he had good grades. He continued his education at M.A.T.C. and eventually was drafted into the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He had been stationed in Thailand and Vietnam, and repaired and installed radio and communications equipment. With an honorable discharge from the military, Donald returned home and worked for the Milwaukee Road railroad for 17 years. An accident falling from a freight car left him with a disabling ankle injury. However, Donald retained his charisma and was a good person to know.

Donald is survived by his wife, Marilyn; brother, Lawrence Geyer; niece, Joyce St. Cyr and her children, Jerry St. Cyr, Justina, Amanda and Darian Mobley and niece, Bethel St. Cyr and her children, Cynthia St. Cyr, Eve Lonetree, Hazic and Sophia Ontiveros. He was preceded in death by his parents; and sisters, Carole St. Cyr and Bethel White.
