EAST ARKANSAS-ARRESTS

HELENA-WEST HELENA, Ark. _ Authorities said they have arrested 44 people in eastern Arkansas on criminal charges in a coordinated operation to “bring back law and order” following a recent epidemic of violence including murder and rape. 425 words.

_ DALLAS OFFICER-MISTAKEN APARTMENT-SCHOLARSHIP _ An Arkansas university has announced plans for a new scholarship honoring graduate Botham Jean, an unarmed black man who was fatally shot by a white Dallas police officer who’d entered his apartment last year.
