Orchids and Onions: Monday, December 24, 2018

December 24, 2018

Another beautiful day in Havasu...

Orchids for LEM. Thanks so much to my wonderful sis-in-law, Mary Lynn Vore (LEM) who delivered two delicious McDonald’s breakfast sandwiches with our new subscription to the Havasu Newspaper on Wednesday morning!

Onions to the pizza place that stopped delivery to the Southside because customer near the business complaining about getting their food late. What?! They should be getting theirs before I get mine. Hope they lose a lot of business out here.

Orchids to our local post office! When I was there recently, every counter had a clerk, and there was a roving employee helping customers with their needs. They even had a manned temporary kiosk for those customers who just needed to buy stamps or pick up packages. I was in and out in 3 minutes!

Onions to the tow company that towed my car at 4 a.m. I picked my car up that morning, was charged $140.00. They sent receipt by e-mail that said they charged $75.00. Will report to police.

Orchids to Sabrina at Rebel BBQ Havasu. Thank you for the great service you gave a group of us ladies on a recent visit. The food was fantastic and so was the service. SS

Orchids to Bashas for showing restraint in regard digital-only promo ads, making sales/specials available to every loyal customer regardless of affluent smarty phones carrying exclusive digital-only pricing. We have-nots appreciate Bashas for treating every customer as equally special as another.

Onions to the State for the new vehicle registration fee. Is Arizona becoming California? Bureaucrats should not be allowed to set taxes (oh I mean “fees.”)

Orchids to Home Depot, Lowes, Elks Lodge, South Side Signs, Troop 89, the sisters, and BLM for helping me on my Eagle Scout project.

Onions to people who won’t shut their porch and yard lights off when their neighbors are spending money and hard work to put their lights out. Come on, at least put colored bulbs in if you must, be a part of this world and stop the Bah Hum Bug.
