PARMA, Italy (AP) _ AC Parma defender Stefano Torrisi said Saturday that he was one of two Italian League players who failed drug tests recently. He said he's innocent.

``I'm destroyed by this news,'' Torrisi told reporters before practice. ``But I feel calm because I am clean.''

Italy's national Olympic committee (CONI) said Friday that two players tested positive according to preliminary test of urine samples.

Eight players, including Dutch midfielder Edgar Davids and Portuguese defender Fernando Couto, were suspended this season after testing positive for the banned steroid nandrolone.
