Electric City Roasting Co. Opens New Coffee Shop In Blakely
BLAKELY — The owner of Electric City Roasting Co. opened a new coffee shop this month near the Blakely Borough Recreational Complex.
After selling Zummo’s Cafe on Marion Street in Scranton four years ago, Throop-based wholesale roaster Mary Tellie jumped back into the retail coffee business this month with her new cafe at 101 Keystone Ave. in the borough’s Peckville section.
“I love riding my bike on the rail/trail system, which this is right next to, it’s right on the trail head,” she said. “I couldn’t find a good cup of coffee there.”
Tellie founded Electric City Roasting Co. in 2003.
