Aiken man gets 10 years after pleading guilty to several burglaries in Edgefield County

August 24, 2018

An Aiken man pleaded guilty Wednesday to burglarizing four homes in the Johnston and Trenton areas of Edgefield County in April and May 2018.

Allen Ra’Shauan Langford, 21, pleaded guilty in Edgefield County to four counts of second-degree burglary, according to a release.

Tenth Judicial Circuit Court Judge Lawton McIntosh sentenced Langford to 10 years in prison at the South Carolina Department of Corrections.

He will also serve a period of five years probation after completing his prison sentence, and he was ordered to pay $10,925 in restitution to the victims.

Investigators determined Langford targeted victims with whom he was familiar, stealing valuable items from their residences at times he knew they would not be home.

The investigation was conducted through the combined efforts of the Edgefield County Sheriff’s Department and the Johnston Police Department.

The case was prosecuted by 11th Circuit Assistant Solicitor Doug Fender.
