INDIANAPOLIS _ Longtime U.S. Sen. Richard Lugar was recalled as a peacemaker as a two-day tribute began Tuesday with a military honor guard leading his flag-draped casket into the Indiana Statehouse Rotunda. A couple hundred people gathered with Lugar’s wife, Charlene, and other family members for the Statehouse ceremony after which he was to lie in repose ahead of his funeral on Wednesday. DAYTON, Ohio _ A Ku Klux Klan group and an Ohio city have agreed on rules for a rally planned this month. The city of Dayton filed a lawsuit in March against the Madison, Indiana-based Honorable Sacred Knights citing danger to the community if the group held a paramilitary-type rally May 25. PORT CLINTON, Ohio _ Floodwaters spilling over western Lake Erie’s shoreline have swamped streets, shut down ferries and left behind dangerous debris during the past month. Now residents are bracing for more problems. All the Great Lakes have been rising for several years and now are seeing an increase from winter’s melting snow and recent heavy rains. _ LEWIS AND CLARK TRAIL: A historic site in southern Indiana is now part of a new 1,200-mile expansion of the Lewis and Clark Historic Trail.

_ PACKAGING MANUFACTURER-EXPANSION: A Michigan-based packaging manufacturing company is planning a $3 million expansion in central Indiana.

_ BRIDGE INSPECTION-INDIANA: Traffic along a southern Indiana bridge over the Ohio River at Mauckport in Harrison County will be restricted to one lane later this month as the span goes through inspection.
