LOS LUNAS, N.M. (AP) _ Three people have been charged in the death of a sheriff’s deputy and the wounding of his brother, also a police officer. Both were helping break up a bar fight.

Chavez, of Belen, was charged Monday with murder, attempted murder and other charges. He was arrested Sunday on an unrelated probation violation.
Michael Armendariz, 24, of Los Lunas, was also charged with murder and was at-large Monday. Sandra Baray, 19, of Los Lunas, was arrested Sunday and charged with being an accessory to murder and attempted murder.
