Drug, gun charges filed against Grant County man
A Grant County man who allegedly had 18 loaded firearms in his possession when he was arrested on drug charges has been indicted in federal court.
Dustin Caya, 34, Mount Hope, was charged by a federal grand jury in Madison on Wednesday.
He allegedly had 50 grams of methamphetamine or more and 18 guns, including 10 rifles, three shotguns and six handguns when arrested on June 1.
He faces charges of possession of meth with intent to deliver, possessing a firearm in furtherance of a drug trafficking crime and being a felon in possession of firearms.
If convicted, he could get between a mandatory minimum five years and a maximum of 40 years in prison on the drug charge, five years mandatory on the gun-drug trafficking charge and a maximum 10 years on the possession of firearms charge.
