MELBOURNE, Fla. (AP) _ Six prospects combined on a five-hitter Thursday to help the Florida Marlins beat Florida State 7-0.

Gary Knotts, Wes Anderson and Michael Tejera worked two innings apiece. Hector Almonte, Geoff Goetz and Blaine Neal each worked one inning.

``I was happy with the way all the young kids threw,'' Marlins manager John Boles said. ``For a lot of them this is their first big league camp, so they're nervous.''

Anderson earned the victory. Eric Roman took the loss.

Derrek Lee and Mark Kotsay each went 2-for-2 for the Marlins in their first spring training game. Catcher B.J. Waszgis, who briefly played for the Texas Rangers last season, hit a solo homer.

Knotts, 9-8 last year at Triple-A Portland, allowed one hit in the first two innings against the Seminoles, who are ranked 15th in the country.

``They may be just a college team, but still I can't afford to take anyone lightly,'' Knotts said. ``Hopefully, I can make an impression each time I go out there. For my first start of the year, I felt very good and in command.''
