Husband accused of battering wife, 12-year-old son
When Max Wollman’s wife heard him yelling at the kids, she went downstairs to see what was going on.
Her 12-year-old son told her that Wollman hit him twice in the face and bent his eyeglasses, according to court documents.
About 10 p.m. Friday, she and Wollman, 40, of the 6300 block of Winnebago Drive, got into an argument and Wollman allegedly struck her in the face with his left hand to the right side of her face. Then, police say, he grabbed her and threw her to the floor.
She had an injury to her left leg and foot from being thrown down. The responding officer noticed bruises to her leg, foot and the right side of her neck near her right ear, court documents said.
Their son said Wollman told him to turn off the television and video game. Wollman became angry when the boy turned off the TV but not the video game, court documents said.
Wollman was charged Monday with battery resulting in bodily injury to a person younger than 14 years old and domestic battery committed in the presence of a child younger than 16. Three other children : ages 7, 4 and 5 months : were home during the altercation.
Wollman was being held at the Allen County Jail in lieu of $12,500 bail. A no-contact order was issued against him.
