SW Missouri St. 44, Truman St. 13

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (AP) _ Jeremy Hoog passed for 248 yards and two touchdowns as Southwest Missouri State beat Truman State 44-13 on Saturday.

Hoog completed 14-of-17 passes in the first half for 211 yards as the Bears posted a 31-7 halftime lead.

Southwest Missouri (2-1) opened the scoring on a 13-yard pass from Hoog to Jason Cannon. Michael Cosey added two touchdowns on scoring runs of four and 26 yards before the Bulldogs scored on a 7-yard run by Brett Yoder.

Southwest Missouri added a 43-yard field goal by Wayne Boyer and a 2-yard touchdown pass from Hoog to Montoi Dixon before intermission.

Boyer booted field goals of 52 and a school-record 57 yards in the third period and the Bears also scored on a 5-yard touchdown run by Royce Roberson.

Truman State (0-2) scored with 49 seconds to go on a 13-yard run by Deric Johnson.
