Open Space Group Starting
TEWKSBURY -- Tewksbury is launching a Friends of Tewksbury Open Space group to support the town’s goals for improving open space and recreation.
Over a dozen people have already signed up at a recent meeting where residents were updated on the town’s progress with its Open Space and Recreation plan. Some of the goals are to preserve and maintain open space in town, maintain recreational facilities and educate residents on the importance of open space.

Wilmington tennis clinic
WILMINGTON -- The 12th annual Wildcat Tennis Clinic in Wilmington is set for Aug. 6 through 10 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. The clinic will take place at the courts at Wilmington High School, located at 159 Church St.
Those in entering fifth through ninth grade are welcome to come play. It is $150 to participate in the clinic.

Truck pull in Billerica
BILLERICA -- Sign-ups are open to pull fire trucks in an event designed to raise money for cancer awareness and honor survivors.
The event, Pulling for Hope of Greater Billerica starts is on Sunday, Sept. 16 at Marshall Middle School. Registration starts at 10 a.m. and the first pull is 11 a.m.
During the competition, teams will compete to see who can pull a fire truck 50 feet in the shortest amount of time.
The event is currently taking donations and team sign-ups on goo.gl/Ty4eBG. Proceeds go to the American Cancer Society.

Pepperell Fall Festival
PEPPERELL -- Live music, a hayride and a slew of vendors are expected for the fourth annual Pepperell Fall Festival, slated to take place from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sept. 15.
The event is expected to include more than 100 vendors, according to organizers.
This year will also include a presentation of Animal Adventures and a beer garden for guests 21 years and older.
The event will be at Pepperell’s Town Field, at 4 Hollis St.
