Police: Business fire considered ‘suspicious’
BLOOMFIELD, Conn. (AP) — Officials say a fire that damaged a Connecticut business may have been intentionally set.
The Hartford Courant reports a fire at medical equipment supplier Soma Technology Inc. in Bloomfield is being viewed as a possible arson.
The fire triggered an alarm shortly before 3 a.m. Monday and caused extensive damage to the back of the building.
Police say investigators have determined that the fire has appeared to have started in two separate spots, making them “suspicious.”
The State Police Fire and Explosion Investigative unit continues to pursue details about the cause of the fires.
The company did not immediately respond to a call for comment.
