Bruce Rendon running in the Republican primary for the state’s 35th District Senate seat
Rendon: Hard budget issues loomingFormer 103rd Rep says careers as homebuilder, dairy farmer prepared him for senate
Bruce Rendon said his experience as a homebuilder and owner of a dairy farm were very beneficial to him as the 103rd District state representative, and he believes it will help him as the state senator for the 35th district.
Those experiences will assist him with a state budget that needs help, he said.
“What got me to Lansing was that I made a payroll for over 30 years in two very successful businesses,” said Rendon of Lake City. “There’s a lot I’d like to do, but mainly, I think my experience really makes me qualified for this job.”
Rendon is running against former 101st State Rep. Ray Franz of Onekama, current 101st State Rep. Curt VanderWall of Ludington and Cary Urka of Brethren to be the Republican party’s candidate for the 35th District Senate seat.
