Police: Child drowns in Wilbraham home pool
WILBRAHAM, Mass. (AP) — Police say a 7-year-old girl has drowned in a pool at a home in Wilbraham.
The Republican reports (http://bit.ly/12mn1MY ) that Wilbraham Police Sgt. Robert G. Zollo said the 911 call came in at about 5:30 p.m. Saturday from the girl’s mother, who said her daughter was in the pool and that she was unable to get her.
The child was taken to Baystate Medical Center in Springfield where she was declared dead.
The girl’s name was not released while all family members were being notified.
Police say the incident is considered an accidental drowning.
